The Timeline of Thringstone MW FC

Formed as Thringstone play at Holmstead Road.

1971-72 Joined Leicestershire Senior League Division 2. Champions and promoted to Division 1.

1972-73 Won Coalville Charity Cup for the 1st time.

1973-74 Won Coalville Charity Cup.

1975-76 Reached the premariary round 3 of FA Vase losing 4-2 away at Bermuda MW. Finished league season 3rd.

1981-82 Relegated.

1982-83 Finished 2nd. Promoted.

1983-84 Division 1 renamed Premier Division. Finished 9th out of 16 teams.

1984-85 League Champions. Denied promotion to Southern League.

1985-86 League Champions again! Denied promotion again!

1998-99 Merged with Grace Dieu United to form Thringstone United. Continue to play at Holmstead Road. Two seasons of mid table finish's.

1995-96 Finished 16th out of 18 teams. Won Coalville Charity Cup.

1998-99 Won Rolleston Cup after beating Shepshed Dynamo on penalties.

2000-01 Renamed Thringstone Miners Welfare. Finished 5th under Lee Harriman.

2001-02 Harriman leaves for Coalville Town. John Bowley appointed. Club change manager 3 times during season. Finish Bottom in 18th place. Relegated.

2002-03 Lose opening game 12-0 to newly promoted Friar Lane & Epworth. Fail to win all season. Club deducted 3 points. Finish season after 3 draws with 0 points. Relegated from Senior League to North Leicester Premier.

2004-05 Club finish bottom of NLP relegated to NLD1.

2005-06 Club appoint ex player John Warriner. Promoted as champions. Warriner leaves for Shepshed Dynamo Reserves at the end of the season.

2006-2007 Relegated to NLD1. Lose 10-0 to Shepshed Dynamo in the Loughborough Charity Cup.

2007-2008 Relegated to NLD2.
